2016 Transplant Games of America in Cleveland, OH

June 10-15, 2016

Team Liberty represented NJ, NY, and CT in Cleveland, OH in June 2016, bringing home an impressive 75 medals! In total, 100 Team Liberty members joined us in Cleveland. 35 transplant recipients and 6 living donors attended the Transplant Games of America as athletes to compete with over 40 teams from all over the United States in various individual and team sporting events. In addition, Team Liberty proudly brought 9 donor family members, 44 supporters, and 5 donation/transplantation professionals to the Games.

2014 Transplant Games of America in Houston, TX

July 11-15, 2014

Team Liberty represented NJ, NY, and CT in Houston, Texas in July 2014, bringing home an impressive 66 medals! In total, 88 Team Liberty members joined us in Houston. 28 transplant recipients competed as athletes. Additionally, the 2014 Games were the first games in which living donors competed as athletes, and Team Liberty brought 7 living donors with us. We also had 13 donor family members, 35 supporters, and 5 donation/transplantation professionals. We competed with over 40 teams from all over the United States in various individual and team sporting events.

2012 Transplant Games of America in Grand Rapids, MI

July 28-31, 2012

Team Liberty represented NJ, NY, and CT in Grand Rapids, Michigan in July 2012, bringing home an impressive 50 medals! Twenty-four transplant recipients attended the Transplant Games of America as athletes to compete with over 35 teams from all over the United States in various individual and team sporting events. In addition, Team Liberty proudly brought donor family members, non-competing living donors, and supporters to the Games.

The NKF 2010 U.S. Transplant Games in Madison, WI

Another unforgettable Games for Team Liberty! In 2010, our amazing athletes and living donors brought home 52 medals, including 27 gold medals! Watching the basketball team win a bronze medal was a highlight of the Games for Team Liberty! Once again, the Games provided the opportunity to celebrate life, make new friends, and honor donors and their families. Our hosts, Team Wisconsin, did a fabulous job making the Games another great experience for recipients, donor families, living donors, and supporters!

The NKF 2008 U.S. Transplant Games in Pittsburgh, PA

July 11-16, 2008

Congratulations, Team Liberty! We brought 35 athletes, 14 donor family members, six living donors, five transplant professionals, and many family members and friends to The Games in Pittsburgh, PA in 2008. Our amazing athletes brought home 24 medals, including 12 gold medals! And just being there, celebrating life among transplant recipients and honoring our nation’s donors, was the biggest win of all! Thanks to Team Pittsburgh, our wonderful hosts, who made this an event to cherish and remember!
